Sodalite Earrings (The Stone of Intuition)
Description: The best Sodalite slabs have a deep blue color with wisps or tendrils of white embedded in them. These tapered earrings clearly show that combination. The polish is satin-like, but approaching glass-like on both the front and back. A sterling silver pinch bail helps create an uncluttered, but classy look. Blue lovers can’t go wrong here. Price is $45, excluding any applicable tax. Free USPS Ground Advantage shipping. USPS Priority shipping costs $10.
Please note: Currently my store can only sell to customers within the United States and its territories.
Approximate Size: The length of the earring is 5/8”. The bottom is 1/4” wide and the top width is 3/16”. If you’re concerned about weight, a single earring of this type weighs .07 ounces, which is exactly the weight of a dime. These are lightweight by design.
Care: This stone has a Mohs hardness of 5.5 to 6. It is fairly hard, but is bordering on the soft range. I would still treat it as a soft stone. This means you should store it where it will not rub up against other harder objects. Avoid things like placing it unprotected in the bottom of a purse, backpack or gym bag where something like loose change could scratch it. You also do not want to submerge it in water for any length of time, use an ultrasonic cleaner or use household chemicals to clean it. As usual, I would use a damp cotton cloth to clean it, let it air dry and then use a polishing cloth.
Folklore: It is reported that Sodalite promotes mental capabilities leading to strengthened intuition. It weakens mental contradictions, reduces conflicting thoughts and helps one decide how to move forward. It is best known as the Stone of Intuition.
Returns: Returns are allowed within 7 calendar days of receiving the stone jewelry. Customer must pay for return shipping. Stone jewelry must be in original condition with no damage. The refund will be processed once I receive the piece in original condition.
